Steve Salem, owner of Salem Design & Construction, has successfully been in construction his entire life. Steve graduated from East Texas State with a B.S. degree in
Construction Sciences. This Degree was designed to fill the gap between the skilled contractor and the professional engineer. His experience with several national builders
General Homes & Gemcraft Homes in the 80 prepared him for his career with Heartland Homes. After 2 years with Heartland Steve moved to Memphis TN to run Heartland's first
expansion city. As Division President Steve's Memphis division of Heartland quickly became Memphis's 10th largest builder. Steve accomplished this in part by offering 4
different series of homes. Each series of homes offered had a distinct price point and set of standard features. He learned that every home owner expected their home to be quality built regardless of price or standard features.

I started my own Company in 1997 Salem Design & Construction LLC. I specialized in true custom homes 5,000 sq. ft. and above. Without any employees I was able to design and build only 2 homes per year and make a good living. This enabled me to use the highest quality materials and contractors available in the Memphis market, and produce "high end" custom homes. Finding a large tract of land in the Texoma area adjacent to the Denison Country Club has motivated me to move my business to this area, design my first subdivision and my new product line of highly efficient homes with the features of the High end homes but built into smaller more affordable homes.

Doing this in a Highly restricted Golf Course Community. Steve's desire for perfection in every new home, along with a wealth of experience and information in the building industry, make this company the right choice for your next new home. Steve's vast knowledge of the building trades comes as a complete built in-package of years of experience!
