About Steve Salem

Salem Design & Construction builds fineFront entry to Fairway Estates custom built homes in the Denison area of Grayson County. He is now building in phase 1 of "Fairway Estates" and has beautiful 1 acre lots, golf course available.
Lots with acess to golf courseSteve Salem, owner of Salem Design & Construction, has been in new home construction his entire life. Steve graduated from East Texas State with a B.S. degree in Construction Sciences. This curriculum is designed to fill the gap between the skilled contractor and the professional engineer. During the 80s’ his superintendent and project manager experience with National Home Building companies in Dallas prepared him for the job of city manager of Heartland Homes in Memphis TN. As Division President Steve's Memphis division of Heartland quickly became Memphis's 10th largest builder. Steve accomplished this by offering 3 distinct home series. Each series offered a unique price point and set of standard features with a high level of quality & customer satisfaction. He expected and delivered each home quality built regardless of price or standard features.
In 1997 he opened Salem Design & Construction and specialized in original designs 5,000 sq. ft. and above. With direct responsibility for design and construction he was able to design and build the high quality and unique custom homes. Using the highest quality materials and contractors available in the Memphis market, Steve successfully designed, built & sold "high end" custom homes.

The move back to Texas began as with the dream of a unique home development close to Steve and Cindy’s families in TX and OK. Finding a beautiful tract of land in the Texoma area adjacent to the Denison Country Club in 2005 he moved Salem Design and Construction to Denison.
His objective for “Fairway Estates” was to design a restricted golf course community featuring highly energy efficient homes with the custom features of the high end luxury homes in smaller sized homes. Restrictive covenants are registered to obtain and retain the highest appraisals. (Restrictive Covenants) All construction in this community will adhere to the Covenants. This subdivision was also designed in a way that there is no Home Owners Association fees!
Downtown Main Street Commercial Spaces & Loft ApartmentsCommitted to the Denison community Steve and Cindy purchased and renovated 517 and 519 Main Street in downtown Denison. (Main Street Denison) He found his many design and construction skills invaluable as he renovated this historic 16,000 sq foot three story building! Floors one and two are now complete and available for lease. (Main Street Lofts)
Steve's desire for perfection in every new home, along with a wealth of experience and knowledge in the building industry, make Salem Design and Construction the right choice for your next new home, Loft apartment or downtown retail space.

Steve is a member of the Grayson Fannin & Cook county Home Builders Association, and serves on the Board of Directors. He is a member of the Denison Area Chamber of Commerce and the Pottsboro Area Chamber of Commerce. He serves on the Denison Main Street Program Board. Steve has also served on the Board of directors of the Denison Country Club and plans to do so again.
